Joseph Anderson, 17, ready to enroll in premed on a baseball scholarship, has a secure future until his great-grandfather moves into his home. Gramps, a WWII hero, tells him how to look and where to go to college. They argue. Joseph stomps away, but he's lured into a wormhole and falls onto a battlefield during the Normandy Invasion, where he's yanked into service in an understaffed field hospital. Gramps told him he couldn't make it as a soldier in that war. To survive, Joseph has to prove him wrong. Is the conflict real or a nightmare? Will he wake up? If not, how will he get home?
